LAUREN & CHRIS'S Story
Lauren and Chris came to us through a recommendation. They had very recently welcomed their second daughter into the world and were looking to have an eternity ring commissioned to represent their two girls.
There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to eternity rings, and so Lauren knew that she wanted to wear the ring on her middle finger, next to her wedding and engagement ring, rather than stacked with them. Their daughter’s names mean ‘Ruby’ and ‘Emerald’ and so it was a perfect opportunity to include these stones in the ring, and being a lover of coloured gemstones, Lauren was excited to create something completely unique with pops of vibrant colour.
It was also important that the design resembled a rose, and Lauren sent us an idea that she had dreamed of, and of course, we were able to deliver!
We presented them with a loose pear cut ruby which they loved, however Lauren was drawn to a deeper shade of emerald than is usual for this particular size. We discussed the possibility of Tsavorite Garnet, which does deliver on a deeper shade of green with greater transparency, but with the emphasis being on emerald for her new little girl, we chose a pair of rich lab-grown emeralds, and teamed the three stones with a beautiful F/Vs round brilliant diamond.
Hand set into platinum, this pretty little ring was prized by the whole team in the Katrina Young Bespoke workshop. We were absolutely thrilled with the result. What a beautiful sentiment for two beautiful little girls.
