BESPOKE COMMISSIONS STEP BY STEP
Step 1
Our team are friendly, professional and highly skilled in their craft. After an initial phone consultation with Katrina, we will send you a no obligation quote and sketch for the piece of jewellery discussed. We will source your dream diamonds and gemstones from our trusted and reliable contacts across the world, and photos, videos and copies of certificates can be sent via email or text in the initial stages. Should you wish to progress further with your bespoke design, a private viewing of your loose stone will be arranged, or should you wish to use your existing stones, Katrina will use this time to assess your jewellery to ensure it is capable of withstanding the pressure of resetting. Your jewellery is fully insured whilst in our care.
Step 2
Before proceeding to the casting stage, we will require a 50% non-refundable deposit, as your item of jewellery will be a completely unique commission made especially for you.
You will be sent a CAD design to approve before casting begins, and you can also view a wax model of the piece, at a cost of £100, which will be deducted from the total at the end.
Having a piece of bespoke jewellery commissioned can be a daunting prospect, but we will send you regular updates of the progress, and take as many steps as we can to ensure you are confident and happy to proceed. We want your bespoke journey to be as exciting for you as it is for us.
STEP 3
Once the final sketch leaves our Nantwich design studio, Katrina oversees every step of its creation, and proudly, every aspect of its manufacture is beautifully British, handcrafted and handset in our Birmingham workshop.
We take immense care with every stage, from casting, stone setting and polishing, and every piece is fully hallmarked in the Birmingham Assay Office and stamped with the Katrina Young seal of approval so that you can be sure of its quality. Whilst your item is undergoing its final stages in polishing and stringent quality control checks, we will send you your final update, so that you know it won't be much longer.
